Implantology
Dental implant is a substitute for a root, with the fixture inserted in the bone during a surgical procedure. On such an implant, prosthetic restoration is performed individually to the patient's needs. Nowadays, it is often the optimal solution for patients with dental deficiencies of all types. Periodontics
Periodontics is a branch dealing with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease, i.e. the tissues surrounding the tooth, such as the gum, mucosa, periodontium and bone. Even minor signs of inflammation such as bleeding gums, bad mouth odor, and hypersensitivity of the tooth necks should not be ignored. They can lead to bone atrophy and loosening of the tooth. Correct diagnostics and early implementation of appropriate treatment may reverse or inhibit the development of the disease.
Periodontology also deals with the improvement of gum aesthetics. We perform gingival recession coverage (covering the exposed root of the tooth) or gingivoplasty (exposing the crown covered by the gum).
